About Sam

Providing high quality training and information to the Education Sector

Sam is a renowned trainer and speaker on Mental Health and SEN. Originally a music teacher she became a SENCo in a large Secondary School where she gained a wealth of SEN training and experience, particularly in behaviour and mental health. She then worked with children who had been excluded from school, and children in care before becoming a freelance consultant. She trains education staff nationally and internationally, and writes regularly for education publications. She also has a book coming out soon!

Sam is also a qualified Educational Assessor, CBT Counsellor and PPP (Triple-P) Facilitator. In her spare time she is a diva singer performing around South Devon!

Sam is also the renowned creator and author of the ReBalance Programme - a programme of activities aimed at helping schools provide support for child and adolescent mental health. To find out more about ReBalance visit the CBT4Schools website.

We would recommend Sam without hesitation to any school. She is a fountain of knowledge, wisdom and advice and possesses that rare quality of being able to motivate all around her. She is entertaining and charming but also exceedingly hard-working and thorough. Rarely have we come across such an outstanding practitioner.
