About Sam

Sam is a renowned speaker and trainer on Mental Health and SEN. Originally Sam worked in the commercial sector as a recruitment consultant and project manager. She then became a music teacher and a SENCo in a large Secondary School where she gained a wealth of SEN training and experience, particularly in behaviour and mental health. She then worked with children who had been excluded from school, and children in care before becoming self employed and setting up a company to provide CBT interventions for schools. She trains education staff nationally and internationally, and writes regularly for education publications.

Sam is also a qualified Educational Assessor, CBT therapist, child and adolescent counsellor and PPP (Triple-P) Facilitator. Sam is also working as a coach for the renowned Leeds Beckett University on their Nationally recognised School Mental Health Award.

Sam is also the renowned creator and author of the ReBalance Programme - a programme of CBT activities aimed at helping schools provide support for child and adolescent mental health. To find out more about ReBalance or targeted CBT Programmes for issues such as Anxiety, Attendance and Gaming Addiction, visit the CBT4Schools website.

We would recommend Sam without hesitation to any school. She is a fountain of knowledge, wisdom and advice and possesses that rare quality of being able to motivate all around her. She is entertaining and charming but also exceedingly hard-working and thorough. Rarely have we come across such an outstanding practitioner.
